Spokane police arrested twelve immigrant’s rights advocates Wednesday outside of Representative Cathy McMorris Rodger’s office. Their acts of civil disobedience were aimed at third ranking GOP member McMorris Rodgers and House Speaker John Boehner.

A Eugene municipal judge has ruled that Lane County officials were wrong to close the Wayne Morse Free Speech Plaza to protesters last December.

Groups from Southern Oregon and Northern California rallied outside Senator Ron Wyden’s office in Portland Thursday.

In Olympia, May Day protesters faced-off with police in riot gear Wednesday night. But the two sides did not clash. A group of about 50 mostly young people – some of them wearing face masks - marched for more than an hour through the streets of downtown Olympia, disrupting traffic.
