Illegal Meat And Fish The Subject Of Raids In Washington

A series of raids by Washington Fish and Wildlife police have targeted suspected poachers and traffickers of items like game meat, endangered fish and antlers.

Washington Fish and Wildlife police have raided more than a dozen locations around the state. The one day blitz on suspected poachers and traffickers follows a two year undercover investigation.

The Washington Supreme Court ruled that police officers working in schools can't search students without a warrant.

A teacher or principal doesn’t need a warrant to search a student. But a police officer working in a school does, according to a new ruling from the Washington Supreme Court.

Fish Fraud Sweep Mostly Good News For Consumers

Dozens of state Fish and Wildlife officers fanned out to seafood retailers, wholesalers and exporters late last week. It was a coordinated West Coast sweep. Forest Service Ordered To Stop Using Border Patrol As Interpreters

The U.S. Forest Service can no longer use Border Patrol agents as interpreters. That’s according to an order from the federal agriculture department that was made public this week.

TACOMA, Wash. - Get ready to spot a new kind of "bird" in the sky. Within the next month, the Federal Aviation Administration is expected to green light the use of small unmanned aircraft by emergency services. Some sheriffs' departments in the Northwest are showing interest in these aircraft.
