Ethiopian Athletes Likely to Seek Asylum in US

Police reports show at least one of the four Ethiopian athletes who went missing after the World Junior Championships in Eugene last month planned to seek asylum.

More than 60 people protested inside Idaho’s capitol Thursday. They want lawmakers to add the words “sexual orientation and gender identity” to Idaho’s Human Rights Act. 

Boise Pastor Faces Eight Years In Iranian Prison

Supporters of a Boise pastor who's been sentenced to eight years in an Iranian prison say he may not survive his punishment. Saeed Abedini was convicted Sunday of attempting to undermine state security.

SPOKANE -- A former hostage to the Colombian guerrilla army will tell her story in Spokane on Wednesday. Ingrid Betancourt ran for the Colombian presidential seat in 2002. Her run came to a quick end when the FARC guerilla army captured her, and held her for more than six years in the jungle. Paige Browning has more on the activist’s only public appearance in the U.S. this year.
