Pasco Frozen Foods Company Lays Off Hundreds

A company in Pasco that recalled hundreds of frozen vegetable products after a Listeria outbreak -- has had to lay off over 240 of its employees.

Investigators are testing food samples from Chipotle restaurants in the Northwest for E. coli. But so far they haven't found anything. The first batch of food samples tested for E. coli by the Food and Drug Administration came back negative Friday.

New Report Shows Fish Mislabeling Nationwide

That nice piece of fish you might order at a restaurant or pick up from the grocery store may not actually be the type of fish you think it is. In fact, 1/3 of the seafood sold in restaurants, grocery stores and sushi bars may be mislabeled. That’s according to a new report released by an environmental group that advocates for ocean health.

FDA Shuts Down Del Bueno Cheese Producer

The Food and Drug Administration has shut down a family-owned Mexican style cheese producer in Washington. FDA inspectors say Del Bueno isn’t doing enough to prevent Listeria contamination in its products, even after several recalls. Del Bueno distributes a variety of cheeses to Hispanic food stores across Eastern Washington, the Seattle area, and parts of Oregon.
