A recent ad campaign launched by Bellevue-based T-Mobile USA is deceptive and must be changed.

That’s according to Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson who announced today that his office and T-Mobile have agreed on a settlement that changes the company’s advertised “No Contract” plans.
Ferguson says the plans, which were launched in March, actually contain hidden fees.
He says consumers who bought the plans can get their money back.

Bob Ferguson “They can reach out to T-Mobile, T-Mobile is required to contact them, outline what their rights are, and they have a chance to be refunded and get out of that plan at no cost to them, and that’s an important part of this agreement.”

Ferguson said that T-Mobile did not admit guilt in the settlement agreement. The company will pay the Attorney General’s office over $26,000 for legal fees.
