NPR Announces End of Talk Of The Nation

Mar 29, 2013

After 35 years at NPR, Neal Conan, has decided to step away from the grueling world of daily journalism

Like many of you, Northwest Public Radio learned on Friday morning that NPR will cease production of Talk Of The Nation with Neal Conan  at the end of June.  This announcement blindsided many public radio stations across the country, and leaves a significant gap in the weekday program schedule.

Right now, we’re trying to figure out what to put in place of this much-loved program, a stalwart of NPR’s news programming for 21 years. Please share your thoughts on what you’d like to hear in its place. Your feedback is valuable, and while we may not be able to answer every message personally, your opinion will certainly be taken into account.
