It was another bumpy morning for Washington State Ferries today.
The ferry service said a lack of available staffers caused a delay in multiple sailings between Friday Harbor and Anacortes this morning.
Spokeswoman Marta Coursey said the good news was that enough travelers learned about the delays ahead of time and took an earlier sailing.
This is the latest in a string of problems for Washington State Ferries.
Last Sunday, passengers on the ferry “Elwha” were told to put on life jackets after smoke came out of the engine room. Fortunately, the problem was eventually fixed.
And last week Washington State Ferries had four vessels out of commission for a few days. This caused long wait times on multiple routes for thousands of people during the ferries' busiest season of the year.
