Man Sought In Trooper Shooting Dies Of Self-Inflicted Wound
Police say the driver suspected in the overnight shooting of a Washington State Trooper has died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Kitsap County Sheriff's sergeant Ken Dickinson says Joshua Blake shot himself as a SWAT team surrounded a mobile home south of Port Orchard. A tipster told officers the alleged shooter might be hiding in there.
Ken Dickinson: "As they approached, they heard a single gunshot coming from the area of the house. As they continued in, they found a male subject with an apparent self inflicted gunshot injury."
The sheriff's sergeant says investigators continue to probe Blake's possible connection to a traffic stop early Thursday. It happened on state Highway 16 between Port Orchard and Bremerton. During that traffic stop, 44-year-old Trooper Tony Radelescu was shot and killed.
