As the federal debate over assault weapons continues, Washington’s Governor-elect Jay Inslee weighed in on the matter in his first public comments since the election.
Inslee: "All of us are thinking about violence, including gun violence. We’ll be working with people to fashion solutions. We know there’s no single panacea. We know that there are ideological differences among people. I’m going to be urging people to look for full solutions across the spectrum including mental health and including some things regarding making sure that felons and people who should not have fire arms don’t get them."
Inslee made his comments at a healthcare conference called “State of Reform” that was held Wednesday in Sea Tac.
