As 2017 comes to a close, celebrate the season with NWPR. The end of the year is a time to celebrate with classic carols, heartwarming and hilarious stories, inviting musical performances and touching holiday tales. Mark your calendar and tune in for the following special programs:

Hanukkah with Gigi Yellen: Evening host Gigi Yellen  explores the timeless spirit of psalms during the first two nights of Hanukkah. Join Gigi for performances from the Vienna Choir Boys in Psalm settings by Abraham Kaplan and music from John Rutter, George Frideric Handel and Antonin Dvorak. Tinsel Tales - NPR Christmas Favorites: Stories on the featuring some familiar NPR voices – Spend your week celebrating meaning of Christmas with some familiar NPR voices. Tune into the NPR News Service for a week of holiday tales, leading up to the finale: the classic Tinsel Tales featuring “the Santaland Diaries.” December 18-21, 8 PM, NPR News Service.

Joy To The World – A Holiday in Pink:  hear timeless classics and new favorites brought to you by Pink Martini and All Things Considered  host Ari Shapiro. Join NWPR for a multi-denominational, multi-cultural holiday celebration. December 23, 7 PM, NPR and Classical Music Service

A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols: An NWPR tradition – spend Christmas Eve with Northwest Public Radio and a broadcast of the annual service held in King's College Chapel.
