The Washington Huskies came to Eugene Saturday night, high off a surprise victory over Stanford. They were expected to give 2nd-ranked Oregon a tough challenge. But that wasn’t the case.
More than 58,000 people filed into Autzen Stadium ready to see how their undefeated Ducks would handle their rivals north of the state line. And from the very beginning the U of O made it look easy – three touchdowns in the first quarter alone. Big plays, few mistakes - they won 52 to 21. Oregon was the only top-5 team playing this weekend that didn’t lose.
Oregon State continued their undefeated football season Saturday, defeating Washington State 19 to 6. Going into the game OSU was ranked 14th nationwide. The Beavers are having their best start since 2002.
