  • More than 43% of public radio listeners work in professional or executive/managerial/administrative occupations.
     
  • 20% are managers/professionals involved in purchase decisions of $1,000+, more than double the general population.

Research conducted by Edison Media Research found that public radio listeners respond favorably to sponsorship announcementson public radio.  For example, 88% of public radio listeners have a positive opinion of companies that sponsor programming on public radio.  62% of those listeners believe such companies have more credibility.  As a result, 80% of the public radio audience would prefer to do business with companies that sponsor public radio programming
